Creating a training course

Training lets you build simple, slide-based courses your team works through at their own pace — with an optional quiz and an automatic certificate at the end.

Turn it on

Training is an optional module. When it's on for your account, the Training menus appear — My training in your Hub, and Training under Manage. If you don't see them, training isn't switched on for you yet — get in touch and we'll enable it.

Build a course

1. Open Training from the Manage menu and create a course.
2. Add slides in the composer — text, images and simple layouts.
3. Optionally add a knowledge check so learners have to show they've understood it.
4. Publish it to your team.

Certificates

You can have miaHQ issue a certificate automatically when someone passes the assessment (or completes a course that has no quiz). Turn certificates on for the course, and each learner who finishes gets an in-app notification and an email, with the certificate available under My training.

Certificates are idempotent and re-checked on every completion — so if you enable certificates after someone has already finished, they'll pick theirs up the next time they complete.

In-person sessions

For hands-on training, you can also run in-person sessions and record who attended, alongside the self-paced courses.
