Communication

Say it once, know it landed

A noticeboard, not a social feed. The question in a busy venue is never "did I post it" — it is "did everyone actually see it".

Announcements

A noticeboard, not a timeline

  • Post to everyone or to a single area, with images and documents attached.
  • No likes, no comments to moderate, no algorithm deciding who sees it.
  • Write it now and set it to publish later. Pin what matters this week, and let older notices expire on their own instead of piling up.

Receipts

“Seen by 24 of 31 — and here are the 7”

  • Every post carries a read count, and the list of exactly who is still to open it.
  • Mark a post must-read and staff confirm they have seen it — you get the confirmed count and a nudge button for the stragglers.
  • The audience is fixed when you publish, so someone joining next week cannot quietly move the number on a post that already went out.
  • An acknowledgement cannot be edited once given, which is what makes it worth anything later.
  • Download the whole record — per post, or a single person’s must-read history — as a PDF for an inspector or a CSV for your HR system. Everyone who has not confirmed is in there too, not just the tidy names.

Reaching people

Without anyone chasing

  • Approvals, new certificates and assigned tasks arrive in the app and by email.
  • Managers get told when something needs them, and only when it does.
  • Raise a question with us from inside miaHQ and track the reply in the same place.

Posts that do something

Tell them, and set the work going

  • Attach a task to a post and publishing raises it for everyone who gets it — each person gets their own copy on their home screen, with the due date you set.
  • Attach a training course and it is assigned to everyone the post reaches, without doubling up on anyone who already has it.
  • Attach a checklist or a rota and the post deep-links straight to it — no work created, just a fast way there.
  • Add someone to the audience later and re-publish, and only the newcomers pick up the work.
