Getting started

Welcome to miaHQ

A quick tour of what miaHQ does and the handful of steps that get you up and running.

miaHQ keeps the day-to-day of running a small team calm and in one place — scheduling, time tracking, time off and your people, without the spreadsheet sprawl.

What you can do here

  • Build and publish a rota your team can see on any device.
  • Track time with web clock-in, unpaid breaks and weekly timesheets you can export or approve.
  • Handle time off — people request, you approve, conflicts are flagged for you.
  • Manage your team — invite people by email, set their role, and control what they can see.

Your first few steps

  1. Finish your company details. Open Settings (bottom-left) and fill in your company name, locations and time zone.
  2. Add your team. Head to Team and add people, then send their logins when you're ready.
  3. Set up your roles. Create the job positions your shifts use so the rota and timesheets can label them.
  4. Build your first rota. Open Scheduler from the Manage menu and rough out a week.

You'll see a short setup checklist on your dashboard that tracks these for you and tidies itself away once you're set up.

Finding your way around

  • The Home dashboard is your calm status surface — who's on today, what needs a look, and quick actions.
  • The sidebar groups everything into Hub (your own day) and Manage (running the team).
  • The bell at the top keeps notifications; the help link next to it opens support if you ever get stuck.
