Clocking in & timesheets

Time & attendance settings

Missed clock-outs, late grace, rounding, overtime and paid leave — tuned to how you run.

Every business handles the edges of time-keeping a little differently. The Time & attendance settings let you set the rules once, and every default reproduces standard behaviour — so nothing changes until you decide it should.

What you can control

  • Missed clock-outs. Choose what happens when someone forgets to clock out: leave it open for a manager to fix, auto-close to their scheduled finish, or auto-close after a maximum length. Auto-close only ever writes a finish time that has already passed, and every automatic close is logged.
  • Late grace. A few minutes' grace before a clock-in counts as late.
  • Rounding. Round clocked time to the nearest few minutes on the timesheet. Rounding is applied when the timesheet is calculated — the actual clocked times are always kept as the record.
  • Overtime. Hours past a contract's threshold are paid at the overtime rate. Paid leave adds hours but never tips someone into overtime.

A note on how it applies

These rules shape the totals you see on timesheets. The raw clock-ins never change, so you can always see exactly what was recorded alongside what's payable.
