Creating checklists
Build opening, closing and compliance lists that generate themselves each day.
Checklists turn your routines — opening up, closing down, compliance rounds — into lists that appear automatically on the right days and get signed off as they're done.
Templates vs the daily list
You build a template once; miaHQ creates a fresh list from it on each day it's due. Editing a template later never rewrites past days — each day keeps the exact items it was signed off against, so your history stays honest.
Build one
In Checklists (under Manage), open the Checklists tab and create a template:
- Give it a name and a type — Opening, Closing or Compliance.
- Choose the days it runs, and optionally tie it to a location and a position.
- Add items. Each item can be a simple tick, a number or temperature (with a target range and unit), a note, or a photo. Mark the ones that are required.
- Reorder items with the arrows, pick an icon, and save.
Pausing and history
Pause a checklist to stop it generating new days without losing its history; resume it whenever you like. The Dashboard tab shows today and the past week at a glance, and the Records tab is your full signed log — see Reviewing checklist records.
