Medicine records and the medicine book
Log every treatment and keep the holding's purchase and disposal registers.
For food-producing animals, miaHQ keeps the veterinary-medicine records you need for inspection — the treatments given, and the holding's medicine book.
Recording a treatment
When a medicine is administered, log it against the animal: product, batch, dose, route, date given, withdrawal-until date, who gave it, the supplier and any notes. Team members on the round can log treatments; only managers can correct one afterwards, so the record stays trustworthy. Each animal's treatments are kept newest-first.
Medication schedules
Set up a schedule for a recurring or one-off treatment — the product, how often, and the next due date. Scheduled doses show up as due on the round, and logging the medicine advances the schedule automatically: a recurring one moves to its next date, a one-off retires. Managers create schedules.
The medicine book
Separately from per-animal treatments, the Medicine book is the holding-level register of medicines purchased and disposed of (supplier, quantity, method) — the acquisition and disposal records required under the veterinary-medicines rules. Team members can log purchases and disposals; managers handle deletions.
Managers can export the medicine book, a veterinary medicine record, and a health-check report as PDFs from the Animals section.
