Animal records
What each animal's profile holds, including compliance details for food-producing animals.
Each animal has a record — its profile and the hub for everything logged about it.
What's on a record
Name, species, breed, date of birth, sex, colour, diet, weight, an area, notes and a photo — plus a health status of Healthy, Monitoring or Needs care (shown warmly in amber, never as a red alarm).
Food-producing animals
Flag an animal as food-producing and its record gains the compliance identifiers you're required to keep — passport number, microchip number and CPH (holding) number — and unlocks its veterinary-medicine records. These identity fields are protected: frontline team members can keep everyday details up to date, but only supervisors and above can change the vital compliance fields.
Identification tags
Record an animal's ID tags — a visual ear tag, an electronic (EID/RFID) tag, or another kind — with one marked as the primary.
Archiving
Animals are archived, never deleted — medicine records have to be kept for years, so archiving keeps the history intact while removing the animal from day-to-day lists.
Managers add and edit animals under Animals → Animals; team members can update an animal's everyday details from its profile on the round.
